Salem Lutheran Church Details

Working with a committee to complete the website, Zahlin did several revisions.

Zahlin's greatest lesson to this project was learning about the challenges of working with people outside of the industry.

The committee wanted many dynamic features, including a calendar, photo slide show, and news updates.

This website design has not been launched.

West Metro Education Program

West Metro Education Program Details

A team worked to redesign the West Metro Education Program's two school websites. Zahlin was part of the Information Architecture team.

Zahlin developed a Flash application to display the district map. Using XML, the administration can easily update the information.

Upon completing the school websites, Zahlin partnered with Merne William to develop the district website. The design unifies the district website with the school websites.

Zahlin implemented a calendar plugin for all three websites, keeping the original design, but adding additional functionality.

In three weeks, the district website was developed, documentation was provided, and the website was ready for launch.

Flash Art Gallery Details

The Flash Art Gallery was a project Zahlin created during a course at the Art Institutes International Minnesota.

The pictures and the content are brought into the application using an XML file. This allows for the content to be easily updated at any time.

Zahlin wanted to display his traditional artwork in an application to easily show his work, and this project gave him the perfect opportunity.

Zahlin looks forward to continuing his passion for traditional art and continue adding to his completed works.

Dnote Plugin

DNote WordPress Plugin Details

Zahlin created the DNote WordPress plugin because he could not find a plugin to meet his needs.

The DNote plugin places notes on a WordPress website that can be easily closed by the viewer.

The DNote plugin has a functioning back-end to put in information for views to quickly inform them of updates or news.

The plugin has a time and date-to-implement when the note will appear. This feature allows for multiple notes to be put into the database for future events.
